Centrally located, the guesthouse is within a few minutes' walk of shopping centres, banks, restaurants, the post office, and the city centre.
If you are arriving by Intercape Bus from Inter City, we offer a free pick-up service for those who have pre-booked their accommodation and advised us of their bus arrival.
If you are flying into the airport, please let us know if you would like an airport shuttle, which can be arranged for a small fee.
If driving from the airport, enter the city on Sam Nujoma Avenue, cross Independence Avenue, turn left into Mandume Ndemufayo Avenue, and travel south towards Rehoboth. Take the first turn left into Church Street, then first left into Trift Street and sharply turn left into Voight Street North. The entrance to both the Backpackers and the Guesthouse is at #5 Voight Street North, Windhoek Central.
If travelling from the south, enter Windhoek on Mandume Ndemufayo Avenue, turn right into Church Street, left into Trift Street, and sharply left into Voight Street North. The entrance to both the Backpackers and the Guesthouse is at #5 Voight Street North.
If travelling from Swakopmund or the north, travel down Hosea Kutako Avenue and turn left into Sam Nujoma Avenue in Windhoek West. Once on Sam Nujoma, turn right into Mandume Ndemufayo (travelling south towards Rehoboth), then take the first left into Church Street, first left into Trift Street, and sharply turn left into Voight Street North at the end of Trift. The entrance to both the Backpackers and the Guesthouse is at #5 Voight Street North.
Travel south down Independence Avenue past Kalahari Sands Hotel, turn right into Sam Nujoma Avenue at Woerman and Brock Supermarket. At the second traffic light, turn left into Mandume Ndemufayo Avenue. When you see the purple house, walk up the slight embankment and travel straight down Voigt Street North for approximately 200 metres; the Backpackers and Guesthouse will be on your left. This takes approximately 8 minutes to walk from the Intercape Bus Station.
