Twyfelfontein officially known as Ui-Ais (Damara/Nama: jumping waterhole), is a site of ancient rock engravings in the Kunene Region of north-western Namibia. It consists of a spring in a valley flanked by the slopes of a sandstone table mountain that receives very little rainfall and has a wide range of diurnal temperatures. Twyfelfontein Country Lodge is set amongst a mountainous backdrop, situated only 4kms from the rock engravings at Twyfelfontein.

Short excursions to the Burnt Mountain, Brandberg, Organ Pipes and Twyfelfontein famed for the thousands of rock paintings and engravings found there.
These paintings and engravings depict animals, hunting and abstract images and to this day doubt exists as to the identity of the artists.

The Lodge is situated in the heart of the Twyfelfontein Uibasen Conservancy and boast 56 en-suite twin rooms, reception, lounge, curio shop, open dining room, bar and swimming pool.
In construction utmost care was taken to reduce the visual impact on the environment and to blend into the mountainside with the use of thatch roofs, natural stone and paint colors toning in with the surrounding rock formations.
