Welcome To Doro Nawas
Twyfelfontein, officially known as Ui-Ais (Damara/Nama: jumping waterhole),
is a site of ancient rock engravings in the Kunene Region of north-western
Namibia.
It consists of a spring in a valley flanked by the slopes of a sandstone
table mountain that receives very little rainfall and has a wide range
of diurnal temperatures.
The luxury, 5 star graded Doro Nawas Camp, is situated on a rugged,
rocky hill, on the edge of the dry Aba Huab River.

The elevated site supplies endless and spectacular views of the Etendeka
Mountains, and red sandstone cliffs of Twyfelfontein. Nestled against a
small hill overlooking ancient plains and the typical tabletop escarpment
is Doro Nawas.
The unique design and lodge outline allows for an unspoilt panoramic view
of this diverse and dramatic landscape that varies from tabletop outcrops,
small canyons, dry riverbeds and savannah-filled vistas that have all the
signs of possible elephant sighting while relaxing on a private veranda.

Guests are housed in natural walled units, the design and décor
unique to the surrounding scenery, with attention to comfort and luxury
in these semi-arid desert conditions.
Each unit consists of a bedroom that leads onto a veranda for stargazing
or sleep outs.
The main area is made up of the indoor and outdoor dining areas, the residential
pool area, bar and leads to a small gallery exhibiting Namibian art.
