What To Know About Rundu
Rundu is a town in Namibia that serves as the capital of the Kavango-East Region and the main economic and administrative hub of the Kavango region. Rundu is situated on the south bank of the Okavango River, which forms the border between Namibia and Angola. It's located in the northeast of the country, about 1,000 meters (3,300 feet) above sea level.
Rundu is known for its wood carvings, goat, millet, and cattle farming, and its large open market. The town's woodcraft co-operative allows visitors to watch the carvers at work and buy wooden items. Rundu has a semi-arid climate with hot summers and mild winters.
