Welcome To Erongo Plateau Camp
In February 1998, Erongo Plateau Camp was build. Oliver and Conny Kayser, owners of the camping site, built the camping site on their parent’s farm, Frederik and Rita van Alphen (Farm Eileen). With their experience in camping Conny & Oliver together with Israel Mbudu, constructed the camping site in such a way that makes it environmentally friendly.

Accommodation at Erongo Plateau Camp
The camping ground is small and secluded, the perfect place to relax and de-stress. Visits should sooth the soul and relax the mind. Great care has been taken to ensure that our sites provide for privacy.
The camping site has spotlessly clean showers (hot & cold water) and toilets. You can buy wood at the camp and there are fireplaces, shade netting and every site has its own water tap.
Erongo Plateau Camp Amenities and Facilities
We have no power supply, no swimming pool and no shop and therefore bringing your own camping equipment and food is a must. In Omaruru, 35km from the camp site, you can get all your fresh groceries at the Omaruru Spar.
What To Do at Erongo Plateau Camp
For the more adventurous, there are hiking trails situated in the mountains, ask Israel where the walking trail starts. Stay on the walking trails and never walk alone. If you want to walk alone, ask Israel that he may keep an eye out for your return.
You can visit the bushman paintings farm or the Living Museum of the SAN People, which is situated on the neighbouring farm. More details can be found at the camping site.
Just sit back and relax in your camping chair and watch the waterhole that has been built on the lower plateau to the camping sites. This waterhole was built in August 2009 and wildlife has adapted to this solar light at night.

It is also within comfortable travelling distance to Swakopmund, Hentiesbay, Twyfelfontein, Etosha or even the capital city Windhoek.
Israel Mbudu is the gentleman managing and maintaining the camping site. His good service, neatness and friendly appearance gives him a good reputation.

states “EILEEN”. Turn left and after 9km you will find the left
