Spitzkoppe is a typical southern Namibian farm, situated 63 km south of Maltahöhe on route to Helmeringhausen and Luderitzbucht.
This 12 000 ha ranch is situated on the Schwarz And mountain range and abounds in wildlife. We take great pride in showing off our Kudu, Oryx, Springbok, Ostrich and Zebra on organised 4x4 farm tours.
It is an old historical German farm which was used as a heliopraphical
relay station, between Helmeringhausen and Hoftmanskuppe near Maltahöhe
by the German Schutztruppe. The beacon can still be seen.

Breakfast will be served by our friendly staff in our dining room. Afterwards relax in our lounge or take a walk to the Spitzkoppe close-by.
In the mornings, on the balcony of the Guesthouse, you can see far into the distance while enjoying a cup of coffee. At night-time and during the night, you can see the stars & planets while enjoying a glass of wine.

Spitzkoppe Castle camping site is a short distance from the self-catering but not you will not be disturbed.

We are comfortable with both Afrikaans and English-speaking guests. Our visitors will experience typical Namibian living – arrive as guests and depart as friends.
The farmstead is situated at the entrance of a dramatic mountain valley, guarded by a cone-shaped hill, from which the farm derives its name.
A tributary of the Haseweb River, originating in this valley, is flanked by a luxurious riverside forest, which houses a spectacular variety of birdlife.
A ground dam, 3 km from the farmstead, features bird-viewing facilities and can be reached either on foot or by car via a well-maintained gravel road.
This is a working farm, where visitors can gain an in-depth insight into goat, sheep, and cattle farming. The farm is not far from Zebra Park, Sesriem Canyon, and Sossusvlei. During school holidays, we cater to children (visits only).
For tourists wanting to sample the traditional flavour of Namibian farm life and hospitality, we are the ideal stop-over en route to Luderitzbucht.
