Welcome to Obelix Village Guesthouse
Lüderitz is a harbour town in south-west Namibia, lying on one of the least hospitable coasts in Africa. It is a port developed around Robert Harbour and Shark Island. We are situated in one of the most beautiful and interesting towns in Namibia.
In 2003 Obelix Village Guesthouse was established. We offer an unique and warm stay for people that is tourist and business orientated. When the wind blows – which is most of the time – the final 10 km into Lüderitz may be blocked by the barchans dune field which seems bent upon crossing the road.

Lüderitz is the centre of Namibia's cray fishing industry and has all the attractions of a seaside resort with lovely views and the ghost town of Kolmanskop. There are 16 comfortable and spacious rooms on offer. There are 11 twin rooms, 1 double room, a dormitory with 5 beds and 4 family units. All these rooms are en-suite.
It has everything you’d expect of a small German town – delicatessens, coffee shops and Lutheran churches. Here, the icy but clean South Atlantic is home to seals, penguins and other marine life and the desolate beaches support flamingoes and ostriches.
