Welcome to Grunau Chalets.
In 1996 the chalets were built next to the Shell filling station – a welcome haven and overnight facility for the tired traveler/motorist/tourist etc.

The youngest entrepreneur is Peet van Staden (Willa’s youngest son of 14 years). He and Henry Markus started a little shop, “Sakkie se Hoekwinkel”, in Grasvlakte at the end of 2005.

Today we can offer you the following at Grünau Motors:
•Shell Filling Station with fuel 24 hours a day.
•24h Express Mark (suppling whole grilled chickens and a variety of pies)
•Overnight facilities – 6 rooms (1 family room, 1 little flat, 2 double rooms and 2 three-bed rooms)
•Campsite – every site with electricity, its own shower, toilet, braai and washbasin.

Situated at the conjunction of the main roads from Windhoek (660km), Cape Town (850km), and Johannesburg (1100km), is Grunau.
Tourist in need of a good meal and a peaceful night's rest need not to look any further for at a well established Shell filling station they will find all this and much more.

For the caravan traveler there is a well equipped park with private ablution area. Within approximately 100km you'll find Ai-Ais hot spring resort and the world renowned Fish River Canyon.

Accommodation here is in the form of 2 double rooms and 3-bed rooms x2 equipped with a fridge, mini-kitchen, BBQ facility and air conditioning.
The 4-beds room with en-suite family room has a mobile BBQ facility, fridge and air conditioning. There are also 4 camping sites with own toilet / shower, wash basin, BBQ facility and power point.
Situated in town - 2 km from SHELL Filling Station
This flat has 5 beds and is en-suite. There is a double bed in 1 room, 3 single beds in another room, a fridge in the sitting room and a mobile BBQ.
