Welcome To Canyon Village

The Canyon Village sits picturesquely at the foot of a sweeping rock face in Gondwana Canyon Park. Canyon Village is on the same property and only 2 kms away from Canyon Lodge, a slightly more exclusive alternative.

The Cañon Village, built in a Cape Dutch Cottage style, fits snugly into mountainous surroundings to offer a birds eye view of the splendid Gondwana Cañon Park. It affords easy access to the Fish River Canyon, which is only 20 km away.

Canyon Village Amenities and Facilities

The Cañon Village has a fully equipped restaurant with a magnificent view of the granite boulders that throw deep shadows over the vast Canyon landscape. A swimming pool with generous lapa provides much relief to sun-drenched visitors.

The thatched restaurant, coffee shop and a rustic bar, all set between massive granite boulders. Namibian artists have decorated the walls of the restaurant and the rural atmosphere is continued in the chalets, depicting the daily life of the original inhabitants of the area, the Bondelswart Nama.

Alternatively, guests are welcome to enjoy a break at the pool. It has magnificent views of the endless plains of Gondwana Canyon Park. The works of Namibian artists on the walls of the restaurant and bungalows afford guests a glance into the lifestyle and culture of the early inhabitants of this area – the Bondelswart-Nama.

A variety of activities are available, including horse riding, sundowner drives and splendid walking trails.

Their small farming business also produces fruit, vegetables and herbs, fresh from their own garden.
