Lianshulu Lodge is set on the banks of the meandering Kwando River,
within the lush Mudumu National Park, of the Caprivi region in Namibia.
With the mysterious Okavango River to the west and the mighty Zambezi
River to the east, this luxury lodge nestles beneath a canopy of shady
Jackalberry and Mangosteen trees.
Situated on the banks of the Kwando River, in the Mudumu National Park,
Lianshulu Main Lodge and Lianshulu Bush Lodge offer a true African wilderness
experience. The area is a lush wilderness of riverine forest, marsh
and open woodland, providing a home to an abundance of wildlife.

Accommodation at Lianshulu Lodge
Accommodation at Lianshulu Lodge has twin rooms and family rooms. Each
room is individually styled and tastefully furnished, and are made from
a combination of reed, brick and thatch.
Each has its own en-suite bathroom, mosquito nets and private, outside
deck. The ample interval between the units, ensures complete privacy.
Lianshulu Lodge Amenities and Facilities
The airy thatched dining, lounge, and bar areas, along with a library and curio shop, have been built using local craftsmen and natural materials. These spaces open onto spacious, split-level wooden decks, offering sweeping views over the Lianshulu Lagoon.
A huge variety of wildlife can often be observed and photographed from these excellent, purpose-built vantage points.
Guests will appreciate either of the two fireplaces, especially as those
cold winter nights draw in. In addition, there is a secluded swimming pool,
positioned to create an idyllic spot for relaxation and to appreciate the
tranquillity of the natural environment.
Dining Experience
Lianshulu Lodge is renowned for its superb cuisine, overseen by a professional
chef. Sumptuous meals include buffet breakfasts and lunches, followed by
a set three-course candlelit dinner.
Coffee and liqueurs, served around an inviting fire, provide the perfect
end to the day.
The lodge is powered by a combination of generator and solar energy, ensuring reliable and eco-friendly operations.

Wildlife and Natural Attractions
Mudumu National Park offers an abundant variety of wildlife, including buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and waterbuck. Elephants and hippos, in particular, can be found in great numbers.
Predators are occasionally encountered, and approximately 400 bird species have been recorded in the East Caprivi. Crocodiles and fish, such as bream, tigerfish, and catfish, can also be spotted from the lodge deck.
What To Do at Lianshulu Lodge
Activities at Lianshulu Lodge include nature drives into the National Park and boat cruises along the Kwando River. Trips to the Lizauli Village can also be organised, offering visitors the chance to witness the daily life of an authentic African home.
Guests can experience basket weaving, cooking, a visit to the witch doctor, and even get an up-to-date briefing on local court cases. This amazing habitat provides a truly unique cultural experience.

The guided nature and game drives from the lodge are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles, offering an up-close view of wildlife and the surrounding landscapes.

Cultural Visits
Lianshulu Lodge assisted the Lizauli Community, located 13 km to the north of the lodge, in developing a traditional village as a tourist attraction.
Members of the Lizauli Community share insights into local Caprivi life, including traditional practices and dancing displays. Profits from these visits are shared among the community, supporting sustainable development.

Easy Access and Transport
Since 1st May 2001, Air Namibia has been servicing Lianshulu Lodge directly, with their daily scheduled flights between Windhoek and Katima Mulilo.
To facilitate convenient access to Botswana, Lianshulu Lodge has an immigration official residing at the lodge, enabling Lianshulu to act as a border crossing point.
An airstrip, located just five minutes' drive from the lodge, is exclusively available for Lianshulu's guests, where transfers to and from the lodge can be arranged.
For easy access to Botswana, Lianshulu Lodge also serves as a border crossing point via boat, but this service is limited to its guests.
